From 1997 Mr. Ivailo Dedov has been involved in Central Laboratory of General Ecology (CLGE), Bulgarian Academy of Science as a biologist.
From 1999 to 2002 he was Ph.D. student at CLGE. (Ph. D. thesis - “Influence of the urbanization on the gastropod fauna and communities (Mollusca: Gastropoda) in the city of Sofia”).

Taxonomy, systematic, zoogeography, biology and ecology of the terrestrial snails; urban ecology and monitoring of landscape changes on base of terrestrial snails’ communities.
