RESULTS OBTAINED IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT

  • The populations of Helichrysum arenarium and Alkanna tinctoria have been revised and inventoried and maps of their distribution in Bulgaria have been made.

  • As a result of the conducted researches it was established that the populations of Alkanna tinctoria tinctoria in Bulgaria are localized in four floristic regions of the country: Strumska valley, Southern Pirin and Eastern Rhodopes and Danube plain, as the majority are located in Strumska valley, which is the main region of distribution of the species / the others are represented by one population each /.

    As a result of the conducted researches it was established that in Bulgaria Helichrysum arenarium is represented by six populations, located in a limited area in the northeastern part of the country, in a narrow strip between the towns of Shumen and Varna/.

  • Ex situ collections of Alkanna tinctoria, Primula veris and Helichrysum arenariumwere created on the experimental areas of IBEI, BAS and AU, Plovdiv
    and the greenhouse of IBEI, BAS and of and of Arctostaphilus uva ursi in the greenhouse of IBEI, BAS.
