2016 - present: PhD researcher, currently preparing thesis at the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystems Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

Working on research projects including:

• Horizon 2020 projects concerning the European Long-Term Ecosystem Research network (eLTER)
• National Research Infrastructure project "Upgrading the Bulgarian Long-Term Ecosystem Research Network"
• National Science Program "Environmental Protection and Reduction of Risks of Adverse Events and Natural Disasters"

Also appointed as back-up representative contact of IBER at the EU's Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services working group (MAES).

1995 - present: freelance consultant. Key projects related to biodiversity and ecosystems include:

• World Bank consultant on the Bulgarian Climate Change Adaptation Strategy. Co-author of Biodiversity and Ecosystems sector analysis, the Biodiversity and Ecosystems related measures in the Action Plan to the strategy, and the cost-benefit analysis for Biodiversity and Ecosystems
• Expert Environment and Biodiversity for the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan for Sofia (SECAP)
• Expert Environment and Finance on several projects related to the implementation of the Birds and Habitats Directives
