• Fish population dynamics, assessment and management: integrated stock assessment models, stock-recruitment, population models including environmental variables, overexploitation, biological reference points for management.
• Fisheries oceanography: long-term changes in marine ecosystems, climate regimes, teleconnections, anthropogenic influence, eutrophication.
• Fisheries ecosystems: food web models, "top-down” and “bottom-up” control, trophic cascades, natural and man-induced impacts on the ecosystems, reference points for ecosystem management, food-web modelling
• Statistical modeling: non-linear models, time-series, multivariate analyses.
