Mycological Collection (SOMF)

 

The Mycological Collection (SOMF) is founded in 1954. It is housed at Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 23 Acad. G. Bonchev St., 1113 Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

The collection is registered withthe acronim SOMF at Index Herbariorum created by New York Botanical Garden.

 

This is the largest mycological collection in Bulgaria. It comprises all groups of fungi with greatest strength in fungal diversity of Bulgaria.

Number of Specimens: 30 200.

Status: Research Collection.
